Clinical Expertise

Dr. Aaron G. Amacher III is a board-certified ophthalmologist with expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions. He specializes in no-stitch cataract surgery, including laser-assisted cataract procedures, and has extensive experience with advanced lens technologies such as Light Adjustable Lenses, toric and multifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs), and the EVO ICL. He also offers LASIK/PRK vision correction and glaucoma laser and surgical implant treatments. Dr. Amacher is committed to delivering the highest quality of care and prioritizes patient well-being in every aspect of his practice.

Education and Training

Dr. Amacher earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed both his transitional internship and ophthalmology residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, where he served as Chief Resident. He further enriched his training by completing the Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology, sponsored by Harvard Medical School.

His time in the U.S. Army provided a unique and extensive medical background, including combat-zone experience in Iraq, where he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with “V” device for valor.

Dr. Amacher is passionate about service, having participated in humanitarian eye care missions to Honduras, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Argentina, and Belize, often accompanied by one of his children to teach the value of giving back. Fluent in Spanish, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and children.
